A successful trade

I would like to think our little co-op has been working. I got some cheesecakes from Cory for some eggplants from my yard, and I will get some tomatoes from Robyn for some kale.

I just really hate I lost so many tomatoes. Robyn said some animals got them, but I doubt it. We only got rabbits and squirrels in our yard, and they did not touch my tomatoes last year at all.

I remember when my brother was visiting me last summer, he would get up early in the morning, saunter into the yard and pick tomatoes to feed himself.

He again will be here next week, and I feel so bad there won't be enough tomatoes for him to pick.

Yes, it worked!
I went home for lunch today and started looking for something to eat. Last week I bought a box of six hamburgers, so I ate about a hamburger a day. The only problem was I'd also purchased a bag of eight hamburger buns, so I had two left. Now what was I going to do with those before they went stale?
Eggplant sandwiches, thanks to Tangerine! I sliced up one of her eggplants and grilled it with olive oil on by little George Formu grill. I also tossed on a few sliced mushrooms, and one slice of a green pepper. Yum, yum!
Actually, I think it was JG who invited me over last year for veggie sandwiches that she made on her Foreman grill. I think she put cheese on hers, too.
